Warner Music Group Corp. Announces Launch of Senior Secured Notes Offering

On October 10, 2016, Warner Music Group Corp. (“Warner Music Group” or “WMG”) announced that through its wholly owned subsidiary, WMG Acquisition Corp. (the “Company”), it intends to commence a private offering (the “Offering”) of $630 million aggregate principal amount of senior secured notes, which are expected to be issued in a combination of euro- and dollar-denominated notes (the “Notes”).

The Notes will be offered in a private offering exempt from the registration requirements of the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”). The Notes will be offered only

Statement on the Passing of Legendary Songwriter Rod Temperton

Today the passing of Rod Temperton was announced by Jon Platt, Chairman & CEO of Warner/Chappell, the legendary songwriter's music publisher:

"Rod Temperton, British Composer and Musician, died last week at the age of 66 in London following a brief aggressive battle with cancer.  His funeral was private. He was often referred to as The Invisible Man. He was the sole writer of multiple successful songs such as 'Thriller,' 'Off The Wall,' 'Rock With You,' 'Give Me The Night,' 'Sweet Freedom,' 'Always & Forever' and 'Boogie Nights' to name just a few.

Songwriter JT Harding Signs Worldwide Co-Publishing Agreement with Warner/Chappell Music and THiS Music

Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, along with Nashville-based music publishing company THiS Music, today announced that it has signed a worldwide co-publishing agreement with Nashville songwriter J.T. Harding. Harding’s latest hit is Dierks Bentley and Elle King’s “Different for Girls,” which has been one of the top country songs of the summer and is currently No. 1 on Billboard Country charts in the United States and Canada.
