Mark Baker Named VP, Public Policy & Government Affairs For Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) today announced that Mark Baker has joined the company as Vice President, Public Policy & Government Affairs. In this post, Baker will oversee the company’s public policy positions and initiatives, as well as serve as its primary liaison with governmental and regulatory bodies across the globe. Baker, who will be based at WMG’s New York headquarters, will report jointly to WMG EVP & General Counsel Paul Robinson and EVP, Communications & Marketing James Steven.

Warner Music Group Elevates Alfonso Perez-Soto to Senior Vice President, Global Business Development and Chief Commercial Officer, Emerging Markets

Warner Music Group (WMG) has promoted Alfonso Perez-Soto to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Global Business Development and Chief Commercial Officer, Emerging Markets. Perez-Soto will remain based in Miami, reporting to Ole Obermann, Chief Digital Officer.

In this new role, Perez-Soto will identify new business models and open distribution channels, as well as finding ways to drive additional revenue and enhancing key partner relationships.

Chairman & CEO Cameron Strang to Step Down at the End of 2017

Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced a leadership transition at the iconic Warner Bros. Records (WBR). Aaron Bay-Schuck will be named Co-Chairman & CEO and Tom Corson will be named Co-Chairman & Chief Operating Officer. Both will report to Max Lousada who, yesterday, began his new role as WMG’s CEO, Recorded Music. The duo will work as a partnership, with Corson running the label’s operations and Bay-Schuck leading WBR’s creative direction.

Mel Fox Appointed Chief Transformation Officer

Warner Music UK (WMUK) is strengthening its management team by announcing new roles for two senior executives: Peter Breeden becomes Chief Operating Officer, in addition to his existing duties as Chief Financial Officer, while Mel Fox has been promoted to Chief Transformation Officer. As members of WMUK’s senior management team, Breeden and Fox will report to WMUK Chairman & CEO Max Lousada, who becomes CEO, Recorded Music, WMG, on October 1.

The award-winning singer-songwriter’s currently charting hits include this week’s No. 1, Dustin Lynch’s “Small Town Boy” & Easton Corbin’s “A Girl Like You.”  Rhett’s song “Kinda Don’t Care” by Justin Moore impacts Country Radio next week.
