Laura Swanson Named EVP, Media & Strategic Development for Warner Bros. Records

Widely Respected Executive Joins Label’s Senior Management Team

Veteran music executive Laura Swanson has joined Warner Bros. Records (WBR) as Executive Vice President, Media & Strategic Development. This marks the first major appointment by WBR Co-Chairman & COO Tom Corson, who started at the label on January 2nd. Based at the label’s Burbank headquarters, Swanson begins at the company on January 22nd and will report to Corson. She will oversee media strategy for Warner Bros.’ genre-spanning roster of artists, as well as play a key role in a wide range of company and executive initiatives.

Pete Ganbarg has been promoted to the newly created position of President of A&R for Atlantic Records, based at the company’s New York headquarters. The announcement was made today by Atlantic Chairman & CEO Craig Kallman and Chairman & COO Julie Greenwald. In his new role, Ganbarg will continue to oversee A&R for Atlantic as well as its subsidiary labels, including Fueled By Ramen and Roadrunner. Ganbarg, who began his music industry career nearly 30 years ago, joined Atlantic in 2008 as Executive Vice President of A&R.

Danny Ocean’s “Me Rehúso” has broken the record to become the Latin song with the most weeks on Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart, surpassing Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” ft. Daddy Yankee. “Me Rehúso” entered the chart on April 1st, and has now logged 36 weeks and counting. Warner Music Group Corp. Reports Results for Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended September 30, 2017

•           Digital revenue for the full year grew 24.7% or was up 26.0% in constant currency
