Michael Lynton Joins Warner Music Group Board of Directors as Chairman

Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) today announced that Michael Lynton has been elected non-executive Chairman of the Board, effective February 7th. Lynton is currently Chairman of Snap Inc. and was previously CEO of Sony Entertainment, which included overseeing Sony Pictures, Sony Music Entertainment and Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The WMG Board of Directors now numbers 11, including the most recent additions, in 2017, of international economist Noreena Hertz and WMG CEO of Global Recorded Music Max Lousada.

Warner Music Group Plans Move to New State-of-the-Art Building in L.A. Arts District - February 25 and March 18

Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced its move to a new state-of-the-art building in Downtown L.A.’s Arts District.

 

Warner/Chappell, the company’s music publishing arm, will relocate on February 25. Warner Bros. Records will move on March 18, along with the west coast teams for Atlantic, Elektra, Rhino, WEA, and ADA. WMG’s L.A. headquarters will be located in a historic building at 777 S. Santa Fe Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles’ burgeoning Arts District.

 

For the first time, WMG’s west coast operations will live under one roof.

Elsa Vivero Promoted to Executive Vice President of Global Digital Account Management at WEA

Elsa Vivero has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Global Digital Account Management at WEA, the global artist and label services division of Warner Music Group. She reports to WEA President Tony Harlow and is based in New York.
