Danny Ocean’s “Me Rehúso” has broken the record to become the Latin song with the most weeks on Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart, surpassing Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” ft. Daddy Yankee. “Me Rehúso” entered the chart on April 1st, and has now logged 36 weeks and counting. Just four months after its global chart debut, the song reached its peak position, No. 18, on the prestigious list – which tracks the popularity of every track released around the world.


Warner Music Group Corp. Reports Results for Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended September 30, 2017

•           Total revenue for the full year grew 10.2% or was up 11.5% in constant currency

•           Digital revenue for the full year grew 24.7% or was up 26.0% in constant currency

•           Net income for the full year was $149 million versus $30 million in the prior year

•           OIBDA for the full year was $473 million versus $507 million in the prior year

•           Total revenue for the quarter grew 9.0% or was up 7.6% in constant currency

•           Digital revenue for the quarter grew 19.8% or was up 18.6% in constant currency

•           Net loss for the quarter was $38

2018 WMG Grammy Nominations

Today, the Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. Warner/Chappell’s Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar led the pack with eight and seven nominations respectively, followed by Atlantic Records artist & Warner/Chappell songwriter Bruno Mars with six. Bruno and Jay-Z landed nominations in the three top categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Warner/Chappell Music Signs Deal With Matt Clifford

Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has signed a deal with Matt Clifford, long time musical collaborator with Sir Mick Jagger and touring keyboard player with The Rolling Stones.

Clifford’s collaboration with The Rolling Stones and Sir Mick Jagger dates back to 1989 when he played on the Steel Wheels album and subsequent world tour. He then went on to become Jagger’s co-writer and producer on many projects, including the album Goddess In The Doorway.
