Widely Respected Exec To Partner With Co-President Mark Mitchell In Charting Label’s Future

Warner Music UK today announced the appointment of Nick Burgess as Co-President of Parlophone Records, effective February 1st. Burgess, who was most recently SVP of A&R at Virgin EMI, will jointly head the label with Mark Mitchell, who has been serving as Co-President of Parlophone since January 2018. Both Burgess and Mitchell report to Max Lousada, CEO of Recorded Music, WMG and Chairman & CEO, Warner Music UK. Together, they will oversee all aspects of Parlophone Records, including A&R, marketing, press, promotion, digital, and design.

Andrea Ganis has been promoted to the newly created position of President of Promotion for Atlantic Records, based at the company’s New York headquarters. The announcement was made today by Atlantic Chairman & COO Julie Greenwald and Chairman & CEO Craig Kallman. In her new role, she will continue to oversee all promotion activities for Atlantic and its subsidiary labels, while serving on the company’s senior leadership team. Warner Bros. Records (WBR) today announced the appointment of Michele Nadelman as Chief Financial Officer. Nadelman comes to WBR following 12 years at Concord Music, where she was CFO of Recorded Music and SVP of Finance for Concord Music Corporate. In her new position, she will be based at WBR’s headquarters in Los Angeles and report to the label’s Co-Chairman & COO Tom Corson.

Dan Cohen Promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing at Nonesuch Records

Industry Veteran Joined Label’s Management Team Last Year

 

Dan Cohen has been named Nonesuch Records’ senior vice president of marketing. In his new role, Cohen oversees marketing, sales, publicity, new media, and content creation for the Warner Music Group’s acclaimed label.

 

Prior to joining Nonesuch in early 2018, Cohen was vice president of marketing at Republic Records, spearheading Lorde’s No. 1 debut and working with artists like James Blake and John Mellencamp. Cohen reports to Nonesuch President David Bither and is based at the label’s global headquarters in New York City.

Julian Petty Named Executive Vice President And Head Of Business & Legal Affairs For Warner Bros. Records

Warner Bros. Records (WBR) has announced the appointment of Julian Petty as Executive Vice President and Head of Business & Legal Affairs. Based in Los Angeles, Petty will report to Warner Bros. Records Co-Chairman & CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck and Co-Chairman & COO Tom Corson. Named a “Top Music Lawyer" by Billboard magazine in 2017 and 2018, Petty is a widely respected industry leader recognized for his talents as a proactive deal maker.
