Oct. 11 Event Honoring Warner/Chappell’s Jon Platt to Feature Beyoncé, JAY-Z and Pharrell

Special Performances by Mary Mary and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue

Grammy-winning rapper, producer, Songwriters Hall-of-Famer, and So So Def label owner Jermaine Dupri will lead City of Hope’s first-ever after-party at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica following next week’s eagerly anticipated gala at the same location. Dupri was recently honored with his own exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles. The four-month So So Def exhibit is dedicated to his work in shaping hip-hop culture.

Twenty One Pilots’ Trench Out Friday - Label Group’s First Release

 

The Elektra Music Group has officially launched and installed a first-rate leadership team that’s poised to nurture the stand-alone group’s stellar roster of artists, and unique labels including Elektra, Fueled By Ramen (FBR), Roadrunner, Low Country Sound, and Black Cement Records. The label group’s first release will be Twenty One Pilots’ new album, Trench, due out Friday, October 5, through Fueled By Ramen.

Warner Music Group Enters Into Agreement to Acquire EMP Merchandising, A Leading European Music & Entertainment E-Tailer

EMP To Remain A Stand-Alone Direct-to-Fan Unit Run By Current Leadership Team

Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire EMP Merchandising Handelsgesellschaft mbH (EMP), one of Europe’s leading specialty music and entertainment merchandise e-tailers. EMP is currently owned by Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm based in New York. Once the deal is complete, EMP will become a stand-alone, direct-to-fan business unit within WEA, WMG’s global artist and label services division headed by President Tony Harlow.
