Detailed Job Description
Process and prepare publishing royalty statements within requirements of recording contracts and copyright law for physical, digital, video and ringtone product
Responsibilities
Process quarterly and monthly publishing royalty statements
• Review statements for accuracy in rates - refer to rate calculation sheets, contracts, AS400 and communicate with Licensing and Rate groups.
• Prepare payment and adjustment vouchers.
• Match checks to statements and prepare for mailing.
• Calculate rate adjustments as necessary
• Respond to publisher inquiries regarding statements and payments.
• Prepare supplemental and advance payments as needed.
• Liase with Licensing and Rate groups to ensure any corrections are made and publishing/splits are confirmed.
• Research and update addresses on returned items.
• Special projects as needed.

Skills Required
Organized and detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in high pressure situations
• Good written and oral communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access)
• Good math and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of music industry
• Previous royalty experience preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical licensing and recording contracts
• AS400 experience
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in high pressure situations
• Good written and oral communication

• Good math and problem solving skills
