Department Description
Marketing and Product Management serve as point person to assigned projects and releases with the responsibility of building awareness through promotions & marketing strategies. Primary goals are to build artists as brands and make them commercially and culturally viable commodities and establish long careers for them. Serving as the primary source of information, inspiration and direction on assigned projects is the department main focus. The development of bundling strategy, accumulation of bonus content, pushing forth merchandising and fan club partnerships with artists and management are also areas in which tremendous focus is being placed.
Detailed Job Description

• Create marketing proposals for brand sponsorships
• Create and update marketing plans, timelines and one sheets on a weekly basis
• Design various promotional material as needed including album packaging components, sales sheets, e-card blasts, artist flyers, t-shirts, posters, and other merchandising items
• Coordinate various artist projects and activities with other Atlantic departments
• Distribute artist calendars, Soundscan, Ringscan, and one sheets to respective managers, agents, and outside marketing agencies
• Maintain and update marketing databases
• Interpret all departmental reports, and re-circulate summaries to company via bi-weekly marketing one sheets
• Prepare and dispense required documents for bi-weekly urban marketing meetings
• Liaise with street team department and affiliates to provide tools such as posters, stickers, CDs, and samplers to various markets
• Order, manage, and maintain artist DVD, CD and office supply inventories
• Process invoices from outside vendors and follow-up on payments
• Research print advertising companies and their rates to maintain accurate departmental spreadsheet
• Attend events, parties, and shows to form relationships with contacts at other record labels, agencies, and entertainment companies
• Plan and execute office and offsite artist listening sessions, events and activities including luncheons, meetings, dinners, promotional and recreational activities
• Communicate with artist managers daily regarding upcoming special projects and artist issues
• Book artists' travel and arrange for meals when visiting the office for marketing purposes
• Participate in brainstorming sessions regarding all artists on the roster, to discuss current and upcoming plans in marketing and promotion, and make decisions on next steps
• Act as a liaison between product managers and artist's management when needed
• Schedule meetings for product managers, artists, and managers as requested
• Generate expense reports, file, and monitor their payment
• Arrange air travel, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation as well as create itineraries for product managers for essential business travel
• Efficiently train interns in all aspects of the department to have an effective support system and marketing team
