ADA Bolsters Global Leadership and Label Services

September 28, 2015

Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent distribution and services arm, today announced two moves intended to grow its suite of global services and strengthen its promotional capabilities. David Orleans has been promoted to President of Sales and Label Management; Kenny Weagly has been promoted to President of A&R and Label Services.  Both report to Eliah Seton, who was recently appointed President of ADA Worldwide.

“ADA offers the indie community an unparalleled range of opportunities, combining local expertise with global firepower,” said Eliah Seton. “David is the longest serving member of ADA and his expertise has been crucial as ADA develops our sales strategy and drives relationships with labels. Kenny is a dynamic member of the team who has attracted amazing partners and ignited new ideas to serve our labels. Together they will shore up our core strengths and develop comprehensive services for our existing and new label partners worldwide.”

With this promotion, David Orleans will focus on driving relationships and sales opportunities for ADA’s artists and labels on a worldwide basis. With over two decades of experience with ADA, Orleans has helped build ADA’s reputation as the most responsive and collaborative distributor in the world.

In his new role, Kenny Weagly will continue to forge partnerships with the best emerging and established players in independent music, while identifying opportunities for new partners worldwide. He will oversee the expansion of ADA’s suite of services, including marketing, publicity, and radio promotion. Weagly arrived at WMG in 2004, and since joining ADA in 2012 has helped build relationships with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mute, Sumerian, New West, Dim Mak, PRMD Music, and others.
