Banks Signs Worldwide Publishing Agreement With Warner/Chappell Music

Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced that it has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with acclaimed singer and songwriter Jillian Banks AKA Banks. The Los Angeles-based 25 year old recently released the track “Brain” from her upcoming full-length debut, and has received acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Pitchfork, and SPIN, among many others.
 
Banks said, “The second I met Jon, Lucas and the Warner/Chappell team I knew they would be my family.”
 
“Banks has written some of the most stunning and emotionally gripping music we’ve heard in some time and her reputation is quickly spreading because of that songwriting,” said Jon Platt, President, North America, Warner/Chappell Music. “She has a long and exciting career of ahead of her, and we look forward to helping her achieve her goals and vision.”
 
Banks has collaborated with popular artists, songwriters and producers including SOHN, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and Shlohmo. Her EP London was released in Fall 2013, which she supported on tour opening for The Weeknd, while her debut full-length album is due out later this year on Harvest Records, a part of Capitol Music Group. Banks is currently headlining a UK tour and is scheduled to perform at major festivals including Coachella, Sasquatch! and Governors Ball.
