September 26, 2016

Warner/Chappell Music—the publishing arm of Warner Music Group—today announced that it has signed a publishing deal with Pop/R&B songwriter and performer Dyo, formerly known as Ms D.

Dyo originally came to the attention of the music world by co-writing and appearing as a featured artist on Wiley’s hits “Heatwave”, “Can You Hear Me? (Ayayaya)” and “Reload”.  In addition, she co-wrote Iggy Azalea’s 2014 hit “Bounce,” and Swedish producer Neiked’s current track “Sexual”, which has been released by Polydor, racked up more than 30 million streams on Spotify and is fast-rising on the UK Singles chart.

Dyo says: “I’m delighted to have joined a publisher that is able to accelerate my career in the UK, while help open doors for me in the US.  It is important for me to have signed to a publisher that has a global reach and can support in further building my career as a songwriter.”

Amber Davis, Warner/Chappell UK’s Creative Director, adds: “Dyo is an incredibly talented songwriter with a great track record of hits to her name. We’re looking forward to working with her to develop her career and take her to the next level.”

Ryan Press, Co-Head of A&R, US, Warner/Chappell Music, says: “Dyo has proven to be an amazingly gifted songwriter.  What’s most exciting is her ability to write great songs in any genre of music.  The combination of her natural talent and Warner/Chappell’s ability to grow and develop hit makers will ensure that her music will have a global impact.”
