Lauren Alaina Signs Worldwide Publishing Agreement with Warner/Chappell Music

June 17, 2014

Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced that it has signed a worldwide co-publishing agreement with country singer/songwriter Lauren Alaina. Easily capturing America’s hearts with her Southern charm and bright, bold voice, Alaina was runner-up on American Idol Season 10. Following the competition, Alaina was signed to Mercury Nashville / 19 / Interscope Records.

Alaina’s first album, Wildflower, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart and No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and was the best-selling digital album by a debut country female.  She was also the youngest female to have her album debut that high since LeAnn Rimes 15 years prior.  Alaina has been nominated for several Teen Choice and CMT Music Awards, and took home the Artist of the Year: New Artist trophy at the 2012 American Country Awards. She has toured with superstars Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Sugarland. Alaina is one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and is currently working on her highly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album.
