Pascale Khalaf Named VP Synch & Licensing, Warner/Chappell Music UK

Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced the promotion of Pascale Khalaf to the role of VP Synch & Licensing, Warner/Chappell Music UK.  Based in the company’s London offices, she will report to Richard Manners, Warner/Chappell Music UK’s Managing Director.

Richard Manners, Managing Director, Warner/Chappell Music UK, says: “Synch is one of the most important services that Warner/Chappell offers in helping to build the careers of our songwriters and finding new avenues for their music.  That’s why I’m delighted to announce Pascale’s promotion to VP Synch & Licensing.  She’s a world class expert in her field, who has a deep understanding of how to bring music and brands together in ways that create culturally resonant moments.”

Pascale Khalaf adds: “It’s a privilege to work at Warner/Chappell and ensure we are always creating new commercial and creative opportunities for our incredible range of songwriting talent.  I’m passionate about making sure that we are at the cutting edge of the rapidly evolving synch and licensing business and I’m thrilled to be taking up my new role.”

Khalaf has been promoted after serving as the music publisher’s Head of Film, TV and Advertising.  Recent projects include sync deals on behalf of Warner/Chappell’s iconic writers and catalogues such as Barry Gibb, Disney, George Michael, Gershwin and Les Misérables with brands such as 02, Freeview, Ford, Sky, Waitrose and Warburtons.  She also works with current artists, such as Benjamin Clementine, Ella Eyre and Madeon, securing placements within campaigns including from Burberry, HSBC and Volvic.

Khalaf has worked in the music industry for more than 15 years, beginning her career at the Music Publishers Association, before subsequently working for EMI Music Publishing, Universal Music Group and BMG Music Publishing International before joining Warner/Chappell in 2007.
