Liam Gallagher, one of the UK’s most iconic, influential and successful recording artists, has signed to Warner Bros. Records UK, part of Warner Music Group. The label, under Phil Christie’s leadership, will release his debut solo album in 2017.

Liam Gallagher said, "Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers; looking forward to making some super sweet sounds. Keep the faith!"

Phil Christie, President, Warner Bros. Records UK commented, “Liam’s one of the all-time greats - brilliant, distinctive, controversial and captivating. The album he’s currently recording is big, bold and heartfelt, and it feels important and culturally relevant.  It’s great to be working with Liam, Debbie and UROK on such a strong return for one of the UK’s most loved artists.”

Max Lousada, Chairman & CEO, Warner Music UK, said “I’m proud to welcome Liam to the WMG family and delighted that he chose to make Warner Bros. Records his new home. It’s an iconic label for iconic artists and, under Phil’s leadership, it has all the energy, drive and ambition to take Liam into the next chapter of his remarkable career.”

Sam Eldridge, UROK Management commented, “Liam is one of the greatest singers, frontmen and artists of all time. No one combines passion, danger and a genuine emotional connection to an audience like him. There is truly no artist we could be more proud to be working, alongside Debbie, and no home better to launch this next chapter of his career than our friends at WB under Phil and Max. "

As the frontman and lead singer for Oasis, Gallagher sold a combined total of 77 million copies across seven multiplatinum studio albums, making them one of the highest selling bands of all time. Their second record ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ gave them their big break around the word and to this day remains the fifth biggest selling album in UK history. All seven of their studio albums went to number one, as did their 2010 compilation ‘Time Flies’, and they had eight number one singles in the UK alone. The band have also picked up six BRIT Awards as well as numerous NME and Q Awards.  After Oasis Gallagher joined Beady Eye for the release of two top five records and has since been working on the new Oasis film Supersonic that is due to be released in October.

Liam Gallagher is the latest addition to the Warner Bros. UK roster that includes artists such as Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, Muse, Dua Lipa, Rationale and Foals.
