In making the appointment, Bryan said, “Jonathan is a first-rate executive with wide-ranging commercial acumen, a proven track record in deal making and a deep understanding of technology, particularly in the carrier and wireless spaces. His expertise in building compelling music experiences, combined with his background as an artist manager, has equipped him with impressive strategic insight and a deep understanding of our industry. His appointment further strengthens our ability to be the most nimble, ambitious and digitally progressive music company in the world.”

Dworkin said, “I am thrilled to join Stephen and the entrepreneurial team at WMG during this pivotal and exciting time for the company. It’s a privilege to champion our extraordinary roster of artists and seek out innovative and frictionless ways to connect fans with the power of music.”

In 2004, he joined Lagardere SCA to help launch US operations for its mobile division, creating original content brands BlingTones and BarrioMobile. Prior to that, he launched Brick House Music, a boutique management company, looking after the careers of artists and producers including J Dilla, Pete Rock, Memphis Bleek and GoodandEvil.
