Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, was named 2016 Music Publisher of the Year at last night’s annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. This prestigious honor follows WCM’s recent wins as Publisher of the Year at the 33rd annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards and at the 2015 ASCAP Country Music Awards (for the third year in a row). In addition, WCM songwriters picked up 26 “Most Performed Song of the Year” awards.

“It’s an absolute honor to work alongside these incredibly talented songwriters who defined the sound of R&B and hip-hop over the past year,” said Jon Platt, Warner/Chappell Chairman & CEO. “The ASCAP Publisher of the Year award belongs to them, and I speak for the entire Warner/Chappell staff when I say what a pleasure it is to see these remarkable songwriters work their musical and lyrical magic, and go on to top the charts and receive so many richly deserved accolades.”
