Warner/Chappell UK’s Jane Bell Moves to New York

July 12, 2016

Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the global music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced that Jane Bell, Senior International Creative Manager, has relocated from the company’s London office to its New York office. With this move, Bell will focus on championing international songwriters in the U.S., as well as help the company’s American songwriting talent build a presence overseas. She will report to Los Angeles-based Katie Vinten and Ryan Press, Co-Heads of A&R, U.S., as well as New York-based Jake Ottmann, Senior Vice President, A&R. Bell will also continue to liaise with London-based Creative Director Amber Davis and Senior A&R Manager Tom Overbury.

Bell said, “I absolutely love the creative energy in New York – it’s like no other place in the world – and it’s brimming with potential for our international songwriters. By the same token, I look forward to working with the Warner/Chappell New York family – both staff and songwriters – to develop exciting new talent and projects beyond the U.S.”

Vinten said, “Jane’s presence in New York will greatly enhance our mission to discover and create new opportunities for our songwriters around the world.”

Press added, “Jane is an extremely talented executive with a proven track record, and our songwriters are already reaping the benefits of her new role.”

Bell first joined WCM in 2004 as a Creative Assistant and eventually began plugging songs for the publisher. In 2012, she was promoted to Senior International Creative Manager. Over the course of her career, she has worked with a wide array of top songwriters, including Ed Drewett, Wayne Hector, Claude Kelly, Chris Leonard, Jonny Latimer and MNEK, among others. She has also worked closely with Warner/Chappell songwriters in leading markets such as France, Germany and Sweden.
