Atlantic Records UK today announced the appointment of Mark Terry as General Manager. Reporting to Max Lousada, Chairman, Atlantic Records UK, Terry will oversee some of the key functions within the label, including Marketing, Digital, Press and Creative. He will look after the operations of those departments while A&R and Promotions will continue to report directly to Max Lousada.

After joining Virgin in 1990, he orchestrated International campaigns for the label’s US roster alongside special projects including the launch of the Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge tour in Europe. The scope of Terry’s role broadened when he became Marketing Director of Virgin in 2000, and again when he took over as General Manager of the label in 2004, a position he held until 2008. During this period, he steered campaigns for The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, Air, Rolling Stones, Everything But The Girl, Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson, The Spice Girls, George Michael, The Thrills, Kelis, NERD, The Kooks and Katy Perry, among others. Most recently, Terry occupied the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing - UK & Ireland, for EMI’s UK labels, responsible for day to day activities beyond A&R.
Max Lousada commented, “Mark is a seasoned executive who brings an incredible breadth of creativity and strategic thinking to Atlantic Records UK, and whose considerable experience will be extremely valuable in helping to devise high-impact campaigns for the world-class UK and US acts on our roster.”

Mark Terry said, “I'm very excited to be joining Atlantic Records UK at this particular time and look forward to working alongside Max and the Atlantic team as we take the label to even greater heights.”
