Warner/Chappell Music, the global music publishing arm of Warner Music Group Corp., today announced the appointment of Ron Broitman to Senior Vice President, Head of Synchronization. Effectively immediately, Broitman will oversee all of Warner/Chappell’s synchronization efforts in the United States. Based in Los Angeles, Broitman will report to Scott Francis, President, Warner/Chappell Music and Chairman and CEO, Warner/Chappell Music U.S.
In his new role, Broitman will oversee Warner/Chappell’s Film and TV, Commercial, Video and Video Game Creative, Quoting and Clearance, and Licensing areas.
In making the announcement, Francis said, “I’ve known Ron for many years since our days together at BMG and he has a reputation throughout the industry as being one of music publishing’s most experienced executives. Bringing him onboard will further strengthen Warner/Chappell’s ability to secure multi-platform synch opportunities in support of our artists and songwriters. I’m thrilled to have him join the Warner/Chappell family and confident that Ron will enhance our close relationships with members of the music licensing community, including marketers and advertisers, film and television producers and video game creators.”

Previously, Broitman served as Senior Vice President of Film, TV & Advertising at Sony/ATV Music Publishing from 2006 to 2010. In this role, Broitman was responsible for building and managing a 16-person team that placed and negotiated Sony/ATV’s entire repertoire across a number of media platforms, including advertising campaigns, film and film trailers, new media projects, television and video games.
Prior to joining Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Broitman spent 10 years at BMG Music Publishing U.S., most recently as Vice President of Film, TV & Advertising Music. In this position, he managed the day-to-day activities of the synchronization department and represented the BMG and Zomba Music Publishing catalogues. During that time, Broitman spent two years overseeing the entire synchronization business for all of the music publishing catalogs and all of the BMG recorded music labels, including Arista, Jive and RCA, among others.
Broitman began his career in commercial production for Propaganda Films and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA and a Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell Law School.
