Emerging Talent. Future Leaders.

Warner Music Group’s Emerging Talent Program (ETP) is a paid opportunity designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain real world experience in the music industry. This multidimensional, hands-on associateship begins by matching students to specific departments across WMG’s companies, based on their interests, for a semester-long experience. ETP is offered during the summer, fall and spring semesters.

Upon joining our team, associates are fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of their assigned department. They will participate in strategic meetings, help to solve key business issues, network with our senior leadership, and offer their ideas and perspectives in order to further WMG’s global success. In addition to gaining unparalleled industry experience, working as an Emerging Talent Associate ensures that you will obtain access to incredible development opportunities, such as our semester-long Capstone Project where students will develop an innovative business idea, present in front of our executives, and gain real time feedback on their ideas.

Launching Summer 2018, WMG is excited to offer ETP all year-round, during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. We are proud of the professional development we offer our students and the alumni network we’re building across the country is unmatched in the industry.

Program Overview

  • Location and Requirements

    Warner Music Group’s ETP operates in offices across the United States, including Burbank, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and New York.

    For consideration, candidates must:
    • Be enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university
    • Be a senior or graduate level student
    • Have completed at least two previous internships in the music, media, entertainment, or tech industries
    • Commit to at least 25 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 30 hours per week during the summer semester
    • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the music industry

    Our associateship opportunities vary by semester and location. Some of our most popular departments include A&R, Licensing, Marketing, Publicity, Finance, Business Development, Digital Media, Merchandise, Label Operations, Promotion, Research & Analysis, and Sales.

  • When to Apply

    Summer applications open January 15 and close April 1.
    Spring applications open September 1 and close November 15.
    Fall applications open June 1 and close August 1.
