When WEA celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1996, Billboard magazine stated that the company had “forged a new era of distribution and delivery that would provide the new music an unparalleled global reach,” noting that it had created “a worldwide network with a local focus” and “whole new categories of sales and service.” These words hold true two decades later, as WEA continues to set the standard for sales and marketing in the 21st century. When WEA was formed in 1971, it brought together three visionary record labels – Warner Bros., Elektra, and Atlantic – to form a musical powerhouse that changed the face of the modern music business. The WEA of today has transformed itself from a traditional manufacturing and distribution division into a company that provides distribution, marketing, and research services for all of WMG’s labels across an array of physical and digital platforms, as well as working with a number of third-party film, broadcast, and video game companies.

Warner Music Artist Services is the division of WEA that combines its expansive range of ancillary rights operations under one roof. Powered by a team of experts in everything from tour and VIP execution to consumer analytics and web development, Warner Music Artist Services is uniquely positioned to evolve what it means to run an integrated artist branding campaign. With a comprehensive suite of services covering all direct-to-fan and merchandise capabilities, the division is built to move fast and experiment more in a constantly shifting music industry that rewards those who lead by example.
