Widely respected music entrepreneur Scott Cohen has joined Warner Music Group (WMG) in the newly created position of Chief Innovation Officer, Recorded Music. Flagship Artists AzChike and 1TakeJay to Release New Music in March 2019

 

Records announced today that the company has partnered with West Coast powerhouse creative agency, R Baron Group, to launch a new label, The Machine Works. The first acts signed to the new deal are Los Angeles-based emcees AzChike and 1TakeJay. Atlantic Records will work in tandem with Warner Music Group subsidiary Asylum Records on marketing, distribution, and promotional efforts for The Machine Works and its roster.

Tony, Oscar, and Grammy Award Winner Stephen Schwartz Signs Worldwide Publishing Agreement With Warner/Chappell Music

Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced that it has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with prolific musical theatre composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. The composer of hit musicals Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked, Schwartz is the recipient of three Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award.
