Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) today announced that Christian Tattersfield has decided to step down from his role as CEO, Warner Music UK and Co-Chairman, Warner Bros. Records UK in February 2014. Max Lousada will assume the position of CEO, Warner Music UK thereafter. Lousada and Tattersfield become Co-CEO’s of the UK company with immediate effect and report to Steve Cooper, CEO, WMG.


WMG Announces Bart Cools To Lead Global Dance Music Strategy

Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) today announced that Bart Cools will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Global A&R and Marketing, Dance Music, Warner Recorded Music.

In this newly–created position, Cools will spearhead the company’s worldwide dance music strategy, leveraging WMG’s global A&R and marketing teams as well as its expanded rights expertise to identify leading dance music talent and develop long-term artist careers across all revenue streams, including recorded music, live performances, synchronization, merchandise, sponsorship and brand partnerships.


Warner Bros. Records Names Brian Frank SVP, Marketing & Strategy

Warner Bros. Records today announced the appointment of Brian Frank to Senior Vice President, Marketing & Strategy. Frank previously served as Global Head of Content & Executive Vice President for Beats Music, a digital streaming service that he developed alongside Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. In this role, Frank will oversee the legendary label’s marketing efforts, and he will also help drive long-term strategy as a member of Warner Bros. Records’ senior management team. Third Man Records Partners With Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA)

Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), the independent music distribution arm of Warner Music Group, today announced a partnership with independent record label Third Man Records. Based in Nashville and founded by Jack White, Third Man has released recordings from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, Beck, Alabama Shakes, and Conan O’Brien, among others.
