Lyor Cohen To Resign After Eight Successful Years At Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group (WMG) announced today that after more than eight years at WMG, Recorded Music Chairman and CEO, Lyor Cohen will resign from the company effective September 30, 2012.
Since joining WMG in 2004, Cohen was responsible for the restructuring of WMG’s Recorded Music division following the company’s acquisition from Time Warner, and for leading the division’s transition from a physical to a digital music company.

Led Zeppelin announced last week the release of Celebration Day, which documents the band’s 2007 concert at London’s O2 Arena. Following this news, founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant will converge in London this Friday, September 21, for a press conference about Celebration Day beginning at 1:30PM BST/8:30AM EDT.

Warner Music Group Corp. today announced its fiscal first quarter financial results for the period ended December 31, 2011.
