Warner Music Group Partners With Leading African Music Company Africori

Warner Music Group (WMG) has announced it is investing in Africori, Africa’s leading digital music distribution, music rights management and artist development company.

The deal gives Warner Music’s ADA division access to Africa’s largest catalogue and A&R network, as well as enabling WMG to establish a presence in many African markets for the first time.

ADA will work closely with Africori to distribute and promote its artists internationally through Warner Music’s global network.


Andy Ma Named CEO Of Warner Music Greater China

Andy Ma has been promoted to the new role of CEO of Warner Music Greater China. He will oversee the company’s business and operations in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and will continue to report to Simon Robson, President, Warner Music Asia.

Greater China is the sixth biggest recorded music market in the world if revenue from the three territories is combined. Andy Ma’s appointment allows Warner Music to further align its leadership in those markets, which will be a crucial factor in driving its long-term success.


Oana Ruxandra Named Chief Digital Officer & EVP, Business Development at Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced that Oana Ruxandra has been appointed Chief Digital Officer & EVP of Business Development. Ruxandra, who returned to WMG at the end of 2018, was most recently serving as interim head of Business Development alongside her post as EVP, New Business Channels – Chief Acquisition Officer. Based in New York, she continues to report to WMG CEO Steve Cooper.

Ruxandra oversees global digital strategy.
