Tony Harlow to Become Chairman & CEO, Warner Music UK

Max Lousada, Warner Music Group’s (WMG) CEO of Recorded Music, today announced that Tony Harlow has been named Chairman & CEO of Warner Music UK (WMUK), starting in February 2020. Harlow succeeds Lousada, who has been Chairman & CEO of WMUK since 2013, having retained the position when he assumed his global role two years ago.

Harlow joined WMG in 2010 as Managing Director for Australasia, where he grew a reputation for breaking talent early, including artists such as Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa who went on to global superstardom.


Rich Christina Named Senior Vice President of A&R for Warner Chappell Music

Warner Chappell Music (WCM), the global publishing arm of Warner Music Group, announced today that leading music executive Rich Christina is joining the company as Senior Vice President of A&R. Based in New York, Christina will report to Ryan Press, WCM’s President of A&R, U.S. Christina was most recently with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of East Coast A&R.  


“Rich and I have known each other for nearly 30 years, and I’m thrilled to reunite with him in his new post at WCM,” said Warner Chappell Co-Chair & CEO Guy Moot.


Warner Music Group Ups Jon Glass to Head of Digital Legal Affairs

Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced the appointment of Jon Glass to Senior Vice President, Head of Digital Legal Affairs. In this role, he will lead the company’s legal efforts in support of WMG's major digital initiatives, working closely with WMG's business development team. Glass will report to WMG's Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Paul Robinson. Glass replaces Ron Wilcox, who will retire after a decade at the company, and a long successful career in the industry.


“Jon is the kind of person you want on your side of the negotiating table,” said Robinson.


Warner Music Group Corp. Reports Results for Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended September 30, 2019

Total revenue for the full year grew 11.7% or 14.7% in constant currency

Digital revenue for the full year grew 15.9% or 18.7% in constant currency

Net income for the full year was $258 million versus $312 million in the prior year

OIBDA for the full year was $625 million versus $478 million in the prior year

Total revenue for the quarter grew 8.2% or 10.4% in constant currency

Digital revenue for the quarter grew 13.1% or 15.0% in constant currency

Net income for the quarter was $91 million versus a loss of $13 million in the prior-year quarter

OIBDA for the quarter was $95
