R&R Records Sets Joint Venture with Warner Bros. Records

First Signings are Dijon and Wens

R&R Records has inked a joint venture with Warner Bros. Records (WBR), it was announced today by WBR Co-Chairman & CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck and R&R founders Ben Persky, Mason Klein, and Will Perliter. Based in L.A., R&R was launched in 2016 with the goal of providing an alternative approach for independent artists, focusing on an aggressive digital strategy. In its first two years, the label amassed a quarter billion streams, introducing artists such as Mt. Joy and Sorcha Richardson.

Nate Albert has joined Warner Bros. Records (WBR) as Executive Vice President of A&R, based at the label’s Los Angeles headquarters. Albert, who co-founded the platinum-selling band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, has held senior A&R posts at Capitol Records and Republic Records, signing artists such as multi-Grammy winner The Weeknd and acclaimed singer/songwriter Maggie Rogers. Warner/Chappell Music officially announces its new leadership. Effective today, April 1, Guy Moot will become Co-Chair & Chief Executive Officer, alongside Carianne Marshall, who has been Co-Chair & Chief Operating Officer since January.
