NEW YORK, July 2, 2012—The Warner Sound (https://www.youtube.com/thewarnersound), Warner Music Group Corp.’s original YouTube channel built on a love of music, today officially announced three fresh faces to host its various programs. Reality star Erin Lucas, radio personality Krystal Bee, and hip-hop journalist Shaheem Reid, will all lead interviews, report news and present special features for the channel. Since its launch, The Warner Sound’s top shows have included live performances from T.I., Santigold, and Dr. John, in-studio performances from Ed Sheeran and B.o.B., Flo Rida’s music video premiere for “Whistle,” and interviews with Waka Flocka Flame and Serj Tankian, among others.

“The Warner Sound is off to a great start, and now it’s time that the channel had its own presenters,” said Ocean MacAdams, General Manager of The Warner Sound.  “As a result, we’ve recruited a group of young talent to convey the spirit of The Warner Sound and develop the conversation with our audience of rabid music fans. Erin, Krystal, and Shaheem each possess their own unique brand of enthusiasm and a passion for music, which makes them the perfect fit for our channel.”

Shaheem Reid, who joins The Warner Sound as its resident hip hop expert, is currently Editor-at-Large for XXL. He was previously with MTV News, where he served as Hip Hop Editor for nearly ten years, interviewing high-profile artists including Usher, Jay-Z, Beyonce, T.I., Nas, Diddy, Kanye West and Mary J. Blige, among others. Shaheem has also written for a variety of other publications, including Vibe, SPIN, Rolling Stone and The Source, to name a few. Reid also co-hosts a segment on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shade 45 station called “The A&R Room.”

Erin Lucas, the daughter of AC/DC’s Cliff Williams, joins The Warner Sound from mtvU where she served as a resident VJ. Previously, Lucas was a cast member for the first season of MTV reality series, The City. She also hosted and co-produced her own fashion show, “Style Lounge,” and worked on projects such as “Breuniverse News with Erin Lucas” on jimbreuer.com, and “Campus Flash” on NYU TV. Lucas is also a musician in her own right, collaborating with producer Piers Baron under the name Kaleidoscopes.

Krystal Bee is perhaps best known as a regular contributor to “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” the popular morning radio show on Los Angeles’ KPWR Power 106. Prior, Krystal worked for the station’s promotional team, hosting events and producing backstage and red carpet video interviews for Power106.com, as well as Power’s social media properties.
