Ashley Gorley Extends Worldwide Publishing Agreement With Warner/Chappell Music And Combustion Music

Billboard’s No. 1 Country Songwriter of 2013 Re-Signs with Award-Winning Publishers
 
Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, together with joint venture publishing partner Combustion Music, today announced that they have extended their worldwide co-publishing agreement with top-charting country songwriter Ashley Gorley. Named the No. 1 Country Songwriter of 2013 by Billboard, Gorley has penned 13 No. 1 singles, most recently scoring with Luke Bryan’s “That’s My Kind Of Night” and Randy Houser’s “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight.”

Gorley has written chart-topping songs for an array of stars including Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, and Billy Currington. To date, he has written over 100 songs recorded by over 50 artists. He also co-wrote Will Hoge’s “Strong,” currently being used in Chevy’s 2014 Silverado advertising campaign.
 
The recipient of numerous industry honors, Gorley has won ten ASCAP awards, including 2009 “Country Songwriter of the Year” and “Song of the Year,” for “You’re Gonna Miss This” by Trace Adkins. He is a two-time recipient of the CMA “Triple Play” award, which recognizes writers with three No. 1 songs in a single year. Gorley is a two-time Grammy nominee for “Country Song of the Year,” and has earned two CMA “Song of the Year” nominations. He was also named one of Billboard’s Top Ten Writers of the Year in 2008, 2009, and 2012.
