Andrade expands his role to power Warner Music Latina’s next chapter and scale artist success
Warner Music Group (NASDAQ: WMG) today announced the promotion of Roberto Andrade Dirak to the expanded role of President, Warner Music Latina and A&R, Latin America. He will continue to be based in Miami, reporting to Alejandro Duque, President of Warner Music International.
Andrade will partner closely with regional leadership and local A&R teams to shape genre strategies, identify emerging market opportunities, and advise on high-profile signings.
Serving as a key connective bridge across markets, Andrade will also drive creative synergies and foster high-impact collaborations across the region to scale artist success.
Since taking the helm at Warner Music Latina five years ago, Andrade has spearheaded significant artist signings, innovative strategic partnerships, and creative breakthroughs across the Latin music ecosystem. His focus on identifying emerging talent early in their careers has positioned Warner Music Latina at the forefront of urban music movements, particularly in key talent exporters such as Puerto Rico and Colombia.
Andrade’s recent roster additions reflect this momentum, including Puerto Rican rising star Clarent – whose latest album debuted at No. 1 globally on Spotify – and Colombia’s breakout female artist Aria Vega. His team has also signed highly sought-after emerging trap talent Fanta Rosario and De La Rose (Puerto Rico) and Kris R (Colombia), alongside Colombian newcomer Tury, internationally acclaimed DJ/producer Kybba, and Ecuador’s No. 1 breakout artist, Jombriel. Furthermore, Andrade strategically transitioned Yami Safdie from Warner Music’s Southern Cone affiliate to Warner Music Latina to accelerate her global crossover.
Through Warner Music Latina’s Power Trap House initiative, Andrade has championed a new generation of Puerto Rican urban talent – earning trust within the island’s creative community. The initiative has supported standout artists including Clarent, De La Rose, Luar La L, Izaak, Hanzel La H, Rowma, Pao Pao, Jotarosa, Jon Z, and Fanta Rosario, alongside global superstar Myke Towers. Andrade was also early to capitalize on Cuba’s booming reparto movement, signing two of the genre’s leading figures in the US, Dale Pututi and Nesty.
Beyond new signings, Roberto has led the strategy for key artists, such as Danny Ocean, Elena Rose, Blessd, and W SOUND.
Roberto Andrade Dirak says: “I’m deeply grateful for Alejandro’s continued support as we champion authentic talent, stay close to the culture, and trust artists early in their journeys. As Latin sounds redefine global music, our focus remains on building the regional foundation artists need to scale their careers worldwide.”
Alejandro Duque adds: “Roberto’s grasp of Latin culture and its rich musical diversity, combined with his relentless creative drive, has been instrumental in taking Warner Music Latina to unprecedented heights. As President of Latina & Latam A&R, his expanded scope will allow him to champion our incredible artists across the entire region and amplify their impact, so I’m thrilled to continue partnering with him as we embark on this next chapter of growth.”
