“It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Dash Crofts, a gifted singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who, with his late partner Jim Seals, helped pioneer the soft rock movement of the ‘70s as the acclaimed duo Seals & Crofts. During their decade with Warner Records, they scored a string of gold and platinum albums, yielding such top ten hits as “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl,” “We May Never Pass This Way (Again),” and many others. The duo’s deep influence has endured through the decades, defined by their signature melodicism, warmly romantic lyrics, and smooth, sentimental aesthetic. Though Crofts returned to music for the occasional solo project as well as a 2004 reunion album with Seals, he largely spent his time raising horses on a Texas ranch alongside his family. All of us at Warner Music offer our heartfelt sympathies to Dash’s family, friends, and countless fans around the world.”
