Warner Bros. Records Strengthens Senior Management Team

December 12, 2016

Warner Bros. Records (WBR) announced today the strengthening of the senior management team through the promotion of three key executives Peter Gray, Larry Mattera and Hildi Snodgrass.

Gray is elevated to General Manager and Executive Vice President, Promotion & Media.   Larry Mattera is elevated to General Manager and Executive Vice President, Commerce & Marketing.  Chief Financial Officer Hildi Snodgrass expands her role to include Executive Vice President, Operations. Gray and Mattera will oversee all marketing, promotion and revenue, while Snodgrass will spearhead business operations for the company.  All will continue to report to WBR Chairman and CEO Cameron Strang and collaborate to forge the strategic direction of the company.  In addition to these direct reports, Dan McCarroll, President of WBR and head of A&R, will continue to report to Strang.

“I am proud to promote three excellent executives from within Warner Bros.” said Strang.  “Peter and Larry are going to drive the commercial part of our business.  Hildi will quarterback business operations and Dan McCarroll will continue to lead the A&R team.  These promotions streamline a number of major components of our business, enabling us to innovate and move faster as we continue to grow and invest heavily in A&R and artist development.”

Most recently, Gray served as WBR’s Executive Vice President, Head of Radio Promotion.   Gray spent nearly a decade based in New York, with the RCA Music Group, before returning to Los Angeles with his family to join WBR as Senior Vice President, Promotion in 2011.   Gray was twice recognized by Billboard Magazine’s coveted 40 Under 40 list honoring music’s top young power players.

Mattera joined WBR in 2015 as Executive Vice President, Commerce, Digital Marketing & Strategy.  Prior to WBR, he served at WEA as SVP, Global Digital Accounts for eight years. Mattera spent six years at Island Def Jam, where he created the company’s New Media Department. He began his career in 1994 at Epic Records and then moved to Polygram Group Distribution in 1996. Mattera holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart University and a Master of Arts degree from New York University.

Snodgrass has served as Chief Financial Officer of WBR for more than a decade.  She joined WMG in 1994 — first in New York at Atlantic Records as Controller and then relocated to California to help launch the U.S. shared services operation before moving over to WBR in 1999 as Vice President of Finance.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University, an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.  Snodgrass was recognized as one of Billboard’s 100 Most Powerful Female Executives in 2016.
