Expands on My Chemical Romance’s long-term relationship with Warner Records and their global merchandise partnership through WMG
Warner Chappell Music (WCM), the global music publishing arm of Warner Music Group (WMG), today announced the signing of an exclusive worldwide administration agreement with era-defining rock band My Chemical Romance. The partnership covers the global publishing administration of the band’s entire catalog of generation-shaping works, including their landmark albums Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, The Black Parade, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, and I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, alongside future works.
Under the new global agreement, WCM will oversee global rights administration, copyright protection, bespoke sync licensing across film, television, and video games, while pursuing innovative creative opportunities to expand the reach of their iconic songbook. The new publishing agreement expands on My Chemical Romance’s long-term relationship with Warner Records, which began in 2003, and their global merchandise partnership through WMG.
Established in New Jersey by Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way, My Chemical Romance stands as one of the most culturally influential and commercially successful rock acts of the 21st century. Renowned for their theatrical world-building and cinematic storytelling, the band has amassed tens of billions of global streams, driven by multi-platinum hits such as “Welcome to the Black Parade,” “Helena,” “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” “Teenagers,” and “Famous Last Words.”
Driven by their The Black Parade 2026 stadium trek, which featured three sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, the band’s discography recently swept the UK charts, with Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys returning to No. 1 and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge surging to No. 2 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, holding the top two spots simultaneously alongside The Black Parade in the Top 10. The stadium tour will culminate in a five-night finale at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this October as the band celebrates the 20th anniversary of their seminal album, The Black Parade, with a deluxe edition dropping October 23.
Robert Kyncl, CEO, Warner Music Group, said: “My Chemical Romance is a generational force. We’re proud to expand our longtime partnership with this trailblazing band as they continue winning new fans around the world.”
Guy Moot, Chair and CEO, Warner Chappell Music, commented: “Few bands have left as deep an imprint on modern rock culture as My Chemical Romance. Their music has not only redefined alternative rock for millions, but also continues to resonate, inspiring entirely new generations of fans, songwriters, and artists alike. They have built an indelible catalog, and our entire team is excited to welcome them to Warner Chappell and champion their extraordinary songs.”
Greg Sowders, Senior Vice President, A&R, added: “Bringing My Chemical Romance’s publishing to Warner Music Group alongside their recorded music and merch feels like the ultimate homecoming. I’ve hoped for this day ever since the first time I heard their music. Having the full WMG team aligned gives us a massive canvas to drive new opportunities and collaborations for their entire catalog.”
