Warner Chappell Music Signs Publishing Deal with Bad Bunny Collaborator MAG

March 3, 2021

Warner Chappell Music, the global publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has entered into a worldwide publishing agreement with rising producer MAG. Last year, he executive produced Bad Bunny’s No. 1 Billboard 200 album, El Último Tour del Mundo, which made history as the first all-Spanish language album to reach the top spot on the chart.

Warner Chappell Music President of A&R, U.S., Ryan Press, said: “MAG is an unbelievable talent and exactly the type of producer who we’re looking to add into the mix. His work with Bad Bunny broke down cultural barriers and has opened so many new doors for him. We already have big things planned to help raise his profile even more and can’t wait to get started.”

Warner Chappell Music Vice President of A&R, Katy Wolaver, added: “From hip-hop to Latin rock, MAG is a vibrant global producer who is already making beats for hitmakers across all genres. He’s a creative force, and all of us at Warner Chappell are very proud to welcome him to the team.”

MAG shared: “Guy, Ryan, and Katy go above and beyond for their roster. I love the Warner Chappell team and their vision. I’m excited to make our partnership official.”

Marco “MAG” – which is short for “magnificent” – Borrero is a Brooklyn born, Puerto Rican-Dominican producer. He was initially discovered and mentored by renowned singer/songwriter Max Martin. Throughout his career, MAG has collaborated with Astrid S, Bebe Rexha, Nicky Jam, Rauw Alejandro, and Demi Lovato, among others. He also produced and co-wrote Flo Rida’s 6x multi-platinum chart-topper, “My House,” which has been streamed over one billion times. At the beginning of last year, he produced a batch of music that grabbed the ear of Bad Bunny and inspired El Último Tour del Mundo. Shortly after the release of the album, MAG, who’s credited on nine of the sixteen songs, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Producers chart and No. 1 on its Latin Producers chart.
