Warner Music Group (Nasdaq: WMG) today announced that Carianne Marshall will transition out of her role as Co-Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Warner Chappell Music (WCM), the global music publishing arm of WMG, at the end of this month, as the company streamlines its leadership structure.
WCM CEO Guy Moot will become the sole chair of WCM, effective October 1. Marshall will remain with the company through the end of the calendar year to ensure a seamless transition.
Marshall joined WCM in June 2018 and has co-led the publisher alongside Moot since April 2019. She has played a key role in a transformative time for the company, modernizing digital licensing, driving exponential growth and expanding a genre-diverse roster of established and emerging talent alongside a rich catalog of songs. Among many highlights, Marshall introduced WCM’s pioneering Creative Services department to amplify commercial and creative opportunities for songwriters, while building a culture that fosters curiosity, collaboration and commitment in service of championing songwriters at every stage of their careers.
