Key leaders will help strengthen regional roster and accelerate global artist export
Warner Music Australasia and SE Asia today announced a slate of key leadership promotions designed to strengthen its domestic artist pipeline and accelerate the global export of music from the region.
The promotions reflect Warner Music Australasia and SE Asia’s commitment to creating an agile and specialist structure that focuses on elevating domestic talent, strengthening export support, and advanced fan engagement strategy.
Two key appointments will help drive this structure:
- Alex Young is promoted to VP Domestic Artists, Warner Music Australasia. She will assume a pivotal role overseeing all domestic areas including A&R, creative, and marketing, focusing on nurturing local talent.
- Dan Ellis is elevated to VP, International Artist Strategy, Warner Music Australasia and SE Asia. He will be integral in leading WMG’s global offering to its international artists across SE Asia and Australasia.
Both execs will report directly to Dan Rosen, President of Warner Music Australasia and SE Asia.
Alex Young will be supported by:
- Charlotte Kindred, who is promoted to Head of Domestic Artist Strategy, Warner Music Australasia, leading the day-to-day execution of domestic and export strategy.
- Sarah Thomas, who is promoted to Artist Relations & Promotions Manager Australasia Export. Sarah will be based in New York, and in this newly created and unique role will establish new global networks and export opportunities for Australasian artists.
Dan Ellis will be supported by:
- Lucy Baker, who is promoted to Head of PR, Artist Relations & Wellbeing, where she will lead PR, artist relations, and radio promotional efforts for Australia and New Zealand.
- Jordon Dionatos, who has been named International Artist Strategy Lead, Australasia.
- Lisan Yee who will be International Artist Strategy Lead, SE Asia, and will be based in Singapore.
In addition, a new specialised structure will drive advanced digital and fan engagement. Manny Kupelian is taking the new role of Head of Creator Strategy, reporting jointly to Ellis and Young. She will oversee the Creator & Influencer team across the region. Mat Buck is promoted to GM Streaming, Social & Community, while Luke Vespa steps up as Streaming & Partnerships Lead, reporting to Buck.
