Warner Music Group Files Registration Statement For An Initial Public Offering

Warner Music Group Corp. (“Warner Music Group”) today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) for a proposed initial public offering (“IPO”) of its common stock.  The shares of common stock to be sold in this offering are proposed to be sold by certain of Warner Music Group’s stockholders.  The number of shares of common stock to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined.

  • Total revenue grew 4.4% or 5.5% in constant currency
  • Digital revenue grew 12.6% or 13.5% in constant currency
  • Net income was $122 million versus $86 million in the prior-year quarter
  • OIBDA was $236 million versus $215 million in the prior-year quarter

Warner Music Group Corp. today announced its first-quarter financial results for the period ended December 31, 2019.

New Leadership for Warner Music’s Artist Services Team in London

Warner Music has announced a new dual leadership for its international Artist Services team based in London. Morgan Hughes steps up to the new role of Head of Creative and Russell Fogden joins from Bravado as Head of Commercial.

Artist Services is a division of WEA, Warner Music’s global artist and label services arm, and it supports artists in areas including direct-to-fan sales, merchandising, ticketing, website design and VIP fan club experiences.

Fogden and Hughes will be based in Warner Music’s London offices and report to Emmy Lovell, EVP, WEA Europe.

Aaron Randall and Bill Ashton Appointed Managing Directors of Songkick

Aaron Randall and Bill Ashton have been named as the new Managing Directors of Songkick, the global live music discovery service. They will be based in Songkick’s London headquarters and report to Emmy Lovell, EVP, WEA Europe.

Ashton moves into his job after serving as Senior Vice President, Artist Services at Warner Music and Randall taking on this new title in addition to his existing role as Songkick’s Chief Technology Officer.
