March 27, 2026

The most-streamed female Francophone artist in the world continues her decade-long relationship with WCM France

Paris, March 27 2026 -Warner Chappell Music (WCM), the global publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced the renewal of its worldwide publishing agreement with multi-Diamond certified singer-songwriter Aya Nakamura.

The deal extends a powerhouse partnership that began in 2017, marking a decade of collaboration that has seen Nakamura evolve from a breakout talent into a global cultural phenomenon.

Nakamura’s ascent is defined by record-breaking milestones. Since the 2018 release of her global anthem “Djadja,” which went Platinum in 17 markets, she has redefined the reach of French-language music. Blending Pop, Caribbean Zouk, R&B, and Afrobeats, her signature sound has earned her more than seven billion streams, making her the most-streamed French female artist in history. She is also followed by more than 25 Million fans on social media.

The renewal follows a landmark 24-month period for Nakamura, which included her second consecutive No. 1 album, Destinée, and a historic performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony where, as an icon of a cosmopolitan, modern country, she performed alongside the French Republican Guard to an estimated audience of over a billion viewers.

Aya is also due to complete a three-night residency at Paris’s Stade de France at the end of May. With all of the 240,000 available tickets selling out near-instantly, she will become the youngest artist in history to perform three consecutive sold-out dates at the stadium

Aya says: “Warner Chappell Music has been a partner and a source of support for me since my beginnings, and I’m very happy to continue this collaboration with Matthieu and his team.”

Matthieu Tessier, Managing Director, Warner Chappell Music France, adds: “Aya is a remarkable artist of rare sensitivity whose music has resonated around the world for nearly 10 years, reaching several generations. It is an honor for the teams at Warner Chappell Music France and myself to represent her repertoire and work with her on a daily basis. I thank her for  trusting us with her music.”
