Trenton Harrison-Lewis Joins Warner Music UK in Dual Ada/WMUK Artist and Label Development Role

Highly regarded artist manager Trenton Harrison-Lewis has joined Warner Music UK (WMUK) in a newly created dual role as SVP Artist and Label Development, ADA and WMUK. In a career spanning more than three decades, Harrison-Lewis has helped develop the careers of a string of influential artists, working with everyone from Amy Winehouse and Goldie, to Giggs and Ghetts.

In his new role, Harrison-Lewis will focus on nurturing new and emerging artists affiliated with ADA UK, Warner Music Group’s award-winning independent label services division.

Warner Chappell Music Celebrate Ivor Novello Wins

Warner Chappell Music is celebrating big wins at the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards which were announced today. Chappell songwriters Dave and Fraser T. Smith won Best Contemporary Song for ‘Black’, while Rag’n’Bone Man was awarded Most Performed Work for his song ‘Giant’ with Calvin Harris.

Warner Music has partnered with Ziiki Media, a music aggregator, distributor and production house that is rapidly expanding its presence in the Indian market. The company specialises in the Punjabi scene, distributing music from local stars including Daler Mehndi, Jasmine Sandlas and J Star.

Punjabi music is popular across the subcontinent, not just with the 125 million Punjabi speakers in India and Pakistan. It’s also had an international impact, not least among the sizable Punjabi diaspora in Canada of some 700,000 people, and significant communities in Australia, the UK and the USA.

Warner Music Group Partners With Leading African Music Company Africori

Warner Music Group (WMG) has announced it is investing in Africori, Africa’s leading digital music distribution, music rights management and artist development company.

The deal gives Warner Music’s ADA division access to Africa’s largest catalogue and A&R network, as well as enabling WMG to establish a presence in many African markets for the first time.

ADA will work closely with Africori to distribute and promote its artists internationally through Warner Music’s global network.
