Warner Chappell Music France Signs a New Global Deal with Aya Nakamura

Multi-Platinum artist and songwriter Aya Nakamura, the biggest French breakthrough star of the last three years, has signed a new globally exclusive deal with Warner Chappell Music, three years after having signed her first agreement with the publisher in 2017.

She recently topped the French charts with ‘Plus Jamais feat Stormzy’, a single from her third studio album Aya, released by Rec 118/Warner Music France in November 2020. Kim Hojoong Sells More Than 500,000 Physical Copies of his Album on Day One of Release

Kim Hojoong has just had one of the biggest global album successes of the year with the launch of The Classic Album. The release, which was produced and distributed by Warner Music Korea, received more than 500,000 pre-orders for physical copies, with more fans heading to the shops across the country today.

Such a high level of physical sales is usually associated with leading KPop acts, such as BTS or EXO, rather than a classical music artist.

Warner Music has announced a new dual leadership for its international Artist Services team based in London. Morgan Hughes steps up to the new role of Head of Creative and Russell Fogden joins from Bravado as Head of Commercial.

Artist Services is a division of WEA, Warner Music’s global artist and label services arm, and it supports artists in areas including direct-to-fan sales, merchandising, ticketing, website design and VIP fan club experiences.
