Ruby Chou has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Warner Music Taiwan. The new role is effective immediately and she will be based in Taipei, reporting to Simon Robson, President of Warner Music Asia.

Chou was previously the Managing Director of Money101 Taiwan, and during her time there turned the financial services company into a household name in the country, hugely growing its revenue and market share in the process. Her career background is in digital marketing and she’s run teams at several leading agencies working with a range of high-profile brands.

Leif O. Ribe Named General Manager of Warner Music Norway

Leif O. Ribe has been named as the next General Manager of Warner Music Norway. He will take up the role from January 1st and report to Jonas Siljemark, President, Warner Music Nordics. Ribe will join the Warner Music team after working in a number of senior marketing and A&R roles at Sony Music Norway.

Warner Music Group Acquires First Night Records

Deal adds the leading independent musical theatre label to WMG’s growing portfolio of family entertainment brands under Arts Music

Warner Music Group (WMG) has acquired First Night Records Ltd, the leading independent record label for West End and Broadway musical theatre cast recordings. 

The company will be overseen by WMG’s Arts Music Division led by President Kevin Gore.  First Night co-founder John Craig will join the Arts Music team under a multi-year consulting agreement to identify and record musical theatre productions in the UK.
