Warner Music Brazil today announced the signing of MC MenoK, the breakout powerhouse of Brazilian funk. The signing comes as MenoK officially becomes the most-streamed male artist in Brazil on Spotify, surpassing 23 million monthly listeners and 600 million career streams on the platform.
The partnership between artist and label is already delivering chart-topping results. MC MenoK’s latest single, “Lembrei de Tu” (feat. Oruam and Fepache), rocketed into the Spotify Brazil Top 10 within its first week. This follows the meteoric success of “Posso Até Não te Dar Flores”, which dominated charts in Brazil and Portugal, peaking at No. 9 on the Spotify Global Chart, with over 200 million streams to date.
Born Kauan Soares in Porto Alegre in southern Brazil, MC MenoK rose to fame with his authentic portrayal of life in Brazil’s urban communities, blending Southern funk with Rio’s signature sound to create a distinctive musical identity. His unique aesthetic first gained traction with anthems such as “Camisa do Grêmio” and “Camisa do Flamengo”. Today, he maintains a constant presence on the Spotify Top 200 charts, proving the enduring popularity of his sound.
