Aishah White Joins As SVP, Media & Strategic Development

Yashar Zadeh Named Vice President

Warner Bros. Records (WBR) today announced two additions to the company’s Media & Strategic Development team: Aishah White has been named Senior Vice President and Yashar Zadeh has come on board as Vice President. White joins the label from her own highly successful public relations firm, AKW PR, while Zadeh was most recently with Biz 3 Publicity. Both report to Laura Swanson, the label’s EVP, Media & Strategic Development and will be based at the label’s Los Angeles headquarters.

“I’m so thrilled that Aishah and Yash are joining our team, as they bring incredible expertise and real savvy to the ever-evolving PR and media landscape,” said Swanson. “Their impressive track records and the respect they’ve earned from both artists and peers alike are the perfect fit for Warner Bros. Records. With Aishah, Yash, and the existing stellar PR team, I’m confident we’re going to have an amazing 2019 and beyond.”

White and Zadeh join the other members of WBR’s publicity department: Jaime Rosenberg (VP, NY), Ceri Roberts (Director, NY), Bobbie Gale (VP, LA), and Rick Gershon (VP, LA), as well as their support team – Patrice Compere (NY), Lilly Simpson (LA), Bre Flores (LA), and new arrival Samantha Lorenzo (LA).

Aishah White is the founder of AKW PR, where she created innovative media campaigns for both Grammy-winning icons and rising superstars such as Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Pump, and the late XXXTentacion. She has represented artists signed to virtually every major label in the industry, including Warner Bros. Records, Atlantic, Sony Music, Columbia, Def Jam, Roc Nation, RCA, Empire, 300 Entertainment, and others. Prior to starting AKW PR, White held executive positions at Primary Wave, Team Image PR, and Def Jam.

Yashar Zadeh comes to WBR from Biz 3 Publicity, where he spearheaded major campaigns for Quality Control Music, Migos, G-Eazy, the Adult Swim network, Lil Baby, Quavo, Tee Grizzley, City Girls, and others. Prior to joining Biz 3 in 2014, Zadeh spent five years at Urban Outfitters, Inc., where he managed stores in New York City before moving to LA in 2013 to help open the UO concept store at the Rialto Theater. Zadeh started his career as an artist, releasing his own music on various underground imprints, including Eastern Conference Records/RAWKUS and Definitive Jux Records.
