September 17, 2013

Warner Bros. Records today announced the appointment of Brian Frank to Senior Vice President, Marketing & Strategy. Frank previously served as Global Head of Content & Executive Vice President for Beats Music, a digital streaming service that he developed alongside Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. In this role, Frank will oversee the legendary label’s marketing efforts, and he will also help drive long-term strategy as a member of Warner Bros. Records’ senior management team. Frank will report directly to Cameron Strang, Chairman & CEO, Warner Bros. Records.

“Brian shares our unique vision for building a forward-thinking home for extraordinary talent,” said Strang. “He will be an enormous asset in harnessing new technologies to create meaningful creative and commercial opportunities on our artists’ behalf, and we’re excited for him to join us at Warner Bros. Records.”

“Warner Bros. Records is a place I’ve wanted to work ever since I made the move to Los Angeles in 1999,” said Frank. “The combination of its renowned heritage, roster strength and the forward thinking strides that the company has made under Cameron’s leadership, make me especially thrilled about this opportunity. We’re well-poised for the next era of Warner Bros. Records and I’m honored to be working with this team.”

Prior to developing Beats Music, Frank served as Head of Rock & Alternative Marketing at Interscope Records, where he oversaw the marketing for a wide variety of chart-topping artists. In 2001, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development for streaming music startup Soundbreak, and earlier, he held stints as Senior Manager, Music & E-Commerce for Ticketmaster; MBA Associate, Business Development/Marketing & New Media for BMG Entertainment; and Product Manager for Atlantic Records.
