In the UK, Coldplay was named Best British Group at the BRIT Awards last night. This was the band’s ninth BRIT Award in 15 years, making them the most decorated group in BRITs history. Coldplay have seen massive success with their seventh studio album A Head Full Of Dreams, which topped the charts in the UK and was a top five hit around the world.
Also last night, in Sweden, two Warner Music acts scooped prizes at the Grammi Awards. Sabina Ddumba was named as Best Breakthrough Artist. Sabina has marked Platinum-selling singles with Scarred for Life, Effortless and Not Too Young, and she has collaborated with artists ranging from superstar Katy Perry to hip hop band Looptroop Rockers. Hasse “Kvinnaböske” Andersson won the award for Best Dance Band. His recent hit album Guld och gröna skogar topped the Swedish charts last year.
