August 22, 2013

Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), the independent music distribution arm of Warner Music Group, today announced a partnership with independent record label The End Records. Based in Brooklyn, NY, The End is home to such renowned artists as The Dandy Warhols and The Lemonheads, among others, as well as the Halo 4 Original Soundtrack. ADA will contribute its digital & physical distribution services to releases from the label’s roster of artists.

“The End is a fantastic label, built from the ground up into the indie powerhouse it is today,” said Ari Taitz, SVP, Independent Distribution and Strategic Development, WEA and ADA, and David Orleans, President, ADA. “Their roster is so eclectic and spans nearly two decades of the industry’s most revered music. We’re thrilled to be working with Andreas and his talented team.”

Andreas Katsambas, Founder of The End Records, said, “ADA has an impressive global infrastructure — their forward-thinking approach aligns with ours and we project tremendous development moving forward. Our artists and partners will benefit greatly from the company’s expertise.”

Established in 1998 in Pasadena, California, The End Records is an internationally renowned record label specializing in alternative rock, indie rock and metal. Their catalog includes releases by Anathema, Anvil, Art Brut, Badly Drawn Boy, Danzig, Fatboy Slim, FEAR, HIM, Mindless Self Indulgence, Petula Clark, Opeth, The Orb, and The Prodigy, among many others. Upcoming releases include The Brightest Light by The Mission, Reborn by Trapt, The Revolution is Never Coming by The Red Paintings, Tales of Transit City by Okta Logue, Stop the Bleeding by Sponge and Apocalyze by Crossfaith.

In June of 2012, ADA expanded its services to the independent music community by officially joining forces with Independent Label Group (ILG), adding the company’s resources and expertise in radio promotion, publicity and marketing to ADA’s current offering. Since that time, ADA has signed a range of new deals, including ones with hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as well as labels such as Innovative Leisure, New West, and Sumerian Records.
