Strategic distribution and studio partnership aims to accelerate Austrian talent and redefine major-indie collaboration
Warner Music Austria and ADA Central Europe have entered into a strategic distribution and studio partnership with Vienna-based indie label, publisher, and creative hub Tonherd. Consisting of Constantin Kaiser, Florian Koch, and Valentin Bröderbauer, Tonherd operates as a full-service, end-to-end music company offering everything from songwriting and production to release.
Under the new agreement, Warner Music Austria and ADA Central Europe will handle global distribution, and provide strategic support to amplify Tonherd’s roster domestically and internationally. Additionally, the partnership grants Warner Music Austria’s entire local artist roster direct access to Tonherd’s state-of-the-art studio facilities.
Tonherd’s creative production team has been instrumental in crafting hits for top-tier Austrian artists, including Ina Regen, Josh., and Pizzera & Jaus. The partnership’s debut release comes from pop artist Michael Russ, with further releases scheduled for later this year from artists including ams, Fräulein Peter, and Now.
Franz Pleterski, General Manager of Warner Music Austria, said: “With this partnership, we aim to support artists as partners from the very early stages of their development and demonstrate our commitment to local Austrian music, while simultaneously creating a new, forward-looking, and market-aligned model of cooperation between the indie and major label sectors. I am very much looking forward to this collaboration and to the talent that will be discovered through it in the coming years.”
